I'm sorry but I also got stuck without the key.
But from what I've seen, the production is really great on the intro cinematic, and story premise reminded me a bit of the old school point'n'clicks, such as Gabriel Knight, which I deeply adore.
The beginning of the story got me puzzled though: the dude is depressed about having been laid off his job, but he lives in a mansion with a butler. What kind of job did he have to support his lifestyle, some kind of executive position in a huge corporation?
Thank you for playing and for the feedback! Well I definitely don't mind if this game brings you GK vibes. :)
The story starts with Jonathan who is visiting his grandad after he got laid off from his job.
From one solo jammer to another, I just wanted to say the art is amazing and the lighting animation is so good. You really captured the somber mood with the sound design as well. I'm actually having trouble progressing further as the prompt to start searching for a key is actually off-screen to the right so it was by chance I found it just by spamming E. After that, I wasn't sure how to find the key as I went back and clicked both E/W but nothing popped up. Would love to continue the game once I figure out how to progress!
Thank you so much for your comment! Did you try it in full screen? Sorry for that. I have to fix it in the future. Thank you so much for the feedback!
Yeah I tried both full-screen and without, but I see now in your playthrough that the player isn't supposed to go off-screen to the right so that explains my confusion. I was able to get the key dialogue eventually after waiting a bit and then clicking E, so I was able to progress! I struggled a bit with the font size as well, maybe making it 30% bigger would help with readability, but otherwise, it was a fun game and the boss level really change up the pacing in a good way. Great job!
Thanks a lot for the comment
